Dr. Nadder is a Richmond native who began her education at the University of Virginia and obtained her BS and MS degrees in Medical Technology and PhD in Human Genetics from Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently serves as Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, College of Health Professions (CHP). As an educator in medical laboratory sciences for over 25 years, her teaching experience has been in the disciplines of clinical immunology, immunohematology/blood banking, and molecular diagnostics. Her research interests have focused on doctoral education in medical laboratory sciences, curriculum design, credentials of clinical laboratory professionals, and genetic effects on ADHD. She has served professional organizations at the national, state, and local levels including ASCLS and NAACLS and is a facilitator for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance's Survivors Teaching Students: Saving Women's Lives program.

Research Projects

Research interests include: assessment of the major and general education outcomes, curriculum design, and the genetic effects of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
